She said “There is no film darling. Just click and imagine how the picture would turn out.” So I did. I remember focusing on a water lily and being amazed by the ‘blurriness’ of the background. I had no idea how it worked at the time, but I remember it drew me in for the next few hours, hunting for flowers and chasing bees.

Even now I still get excited by the feeling of lifting the camera to my eyes (or composing through the little LCD screen it has on the back, it depends on the angle :)). I don’t need to imagine them anymore, I get to actually create the pictures born in my head.
